Northern Edge Hockey is the only “Hockey Instruction” company with a significant presence at every level of the game. It is our goal to impact and teach players how to be successful at every level of game, from the Mite level all the way up to the NHL. The United States Hockey League (USHL) is the only Tier 1 junior hockey league in America. The USHL is the top developmental league for players under the age of 21. With over 245 players already committed to NCAA Division I schools and 35 NHL Entry Draft picks on League rosters this past season, the USHL is the nation's foremost producer of junior hockey talent. Northern Edge Hockey recognized the similarities between our own passion and expertise and the goals of the USHL.
In 2010, Northern Edge Hockey President and Owner, Craig Woodcroft became part of the new ownership group of the USHL’s Sioux City Musketeers and serves as the President of Hockey Operations for the Musketeers. With Northern Edge being the industry leader in hockey instruction, and the USHL being the top Developmental League in the country, the synergy is there to do some great things for the top players in North America.
In addition to Craig Woodcroft’s ownership interest and active, managing role with the Sioux City Musketeers, Northern Edge Hockey coach, Steve Yurichuk conducts regular, in-season skills development sessions for the Sioux City Musketeers, and Northern Edge Hockey coach, Sean Ferrell serves as the Midwest Regional Scout for the Musketeers.
